Warehouse Associate
M-F 8AM-5PM
Pay $20.00 - $30.00 Position Summary The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, inventory management, shipping and receiving activities, freight coordination, and tool repair processes. This role ensures inventory accuracy, timely order fulfillment, and maintains a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Shipping & Receiving Process daily customer orders, including Small Package and LTL shipments. Schedule freight pickups and deliveries with carriers. Print shipping labels and prepare shipment documentation. Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently. Receive incoming inventory and enter inventory transactions into QuickBooks on the same day received. Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory procedures when stocking and shipping products. Inventory Management Perform daily cycle counts and inventory audits. Research and resolve inventory discrepancies, including overages and shortages. Participate in mid-year and year-end physical inventory counts. Maintain inventory accuracy across all warehouse locations. Ensure inventory shrinkage remains at or below company standards. Tool Repair & Quality Support Process and coordinate customer tool repairs from receipt through completion. Maintain communication with customers regarding repair status. Serve as backup support to the Quality Department as needed. Freight & Logistics Negotiate freight rates and service agreements with carriers. Manage freight claims from initiation through resolution. Maintain detailed documentation and tracking of all freight claims. Coordinate transportation activities to support on-time deliveries. Warehouse Operations Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Support daily operational activities and inventory management across all warehouse locations. Follow company safety policies and procedures at all times. Accountabilities & Performance Measures Freight Carrier Management Negotiate with all freight carriers annually to secure improved discounts and/or extended payment terms. Submit documentation of all carrier negotiations, regardless of outcome, to the Accounting Department for tracking and recordkeeping. Order Fulfillment Maintain on-time shipment performance for all customer orders. Ensure orders are processed accurately and shipped according to schedule. Tool Repair Performance Complete tool repairs within 72 hours (cradle-to-grave) when parts are in stock. Acknowledge receipt of customer tools on the same day they arrive. Inventory Accuracy Maintain inventory shrinkage at 1% or less. Ensure inventory transactions are processed accurately and timely. Cycle Count Compliance Complete daily cycle counts. Research and process all inventory adjustments on the same day discrepancies are identified. Freight Claims Management Manage freight claims from submission through final resolution. Ensure all claims are logged, updated, and monitored daily. Maintain complete documentation and follow-up records for each claim. Qualifications Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory control experience preferred. Experience with QuickBooks or similar inventory management systems. Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift and move materials as required. Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
