Job Description
Position Summary:
An Inventory Control worker is responsible for tracking and managing inventory levels, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring that inventory levels are sufficient to meet demand and prevent shortages or overstocking. The inventory specialist also performs audits to meet company standards and reduce discrepancies. Essential Job Responsibilities Knowing and acting in accordance with Patterson's vision to "Strive to Serve" our customers, partners, and fellow employees with every interaction Scheduling and performing daily inventory cycle counts to maintain inventory integrity and operational efficiency and reporting results to leadership Tracking ingoing and outgoing inventory Analyzing cycle count results, identifying discrepancies between physical counts and computer records and root causes for discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions when necessary Reporting any discrepancies to management that employee is unable to reconcile Conducting daily inspections of supply locations, and reconciling inventory discrepancies Keeping inventory counts in the system up to date thereby empowering employees in other departments to check stock levels and work more efficiently Performing regular cycle counts on production inventory and consumables, and audit inventory to ensure accuracy. Verifying order accuracy by visual checks and scanning procedures. Completing purchase orders/inventory transactions ensuring they were accurately allocated and tracked to the correct accounts and items Preparing and generating inventory reports as required Performing work associated with warehousing, material handling, and other related duties as assigned.Qualifications:

Education High school diploma (or equivalent) required Experience Previous warehouse or relatable experience preferred Skills/Capabilities Must possess strong mathematical skills, organizational and time-management skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy required Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to read, write, and communicate in English required Ability to communicate in Spanish preferred Ability to learn and maintain working knowledge of computerized hand-held devices used for inventory control required Basic knowledge in Microsoft Excel required Knowledge of Microsoft office preferred Must be able to interpret documents such as shipping labels, shipping manifests, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbersSimilar remote jobs
