Job Description
Receiving Specialist Grayland Distribution & Fulfillment is seeking an experienced Receiving Specialist to take ownership of inbound operations in our fast-paced 3PL warehouse environment. This is not an entry-level receiving position. We are looking for someone who has worked with a wide variety of products, customers, and inventory systems and understands the importance of accuracy, urgency, and accountability. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-SKU environment, can quickly identify discrepancies, and understands how receiving impacts inventory accuracy, customer satisfaction, and overall warehouse performance. What You'll Do Receive inbound shipments from parcel carriers, LTL carriers, and full truckloads Verify product quantities against purchase orders, ASNs, and packing lists Inspect inbound shipments for shortages, damages, and compliance issues Accurately receive inventory into the WMS Research and resolve receiving discrepancies Coordinate with customers regarding receiving issues and inventory concerns Label, sort, and stage inventory for putaway Ensure all inbound inventory is properly identified and traceable Monitor receiving schedules and prioritize workloads appropriately Maintain clean and organized receiving docks and staging areas Assist with inventory audits, cycle counts, and investigations Work closely with inventory control, customer service, and warehouse leadership What We're Looking For - Required Experience 3+ years of warehouse receiving experience Experience working with multiple customers and product lines Experience receiving high-SKU inventories Strong understanding of inventory control principles Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Ability to operate forklifts and material handling equipment Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment Preferred Experience 3PL or fulfillment center experience Experience with apparel, food & beverage, supplements, consumer goods, and/or e-commerce products Experience handling compliance requirements from multiple customers Experience investigating inventory discrepancies and root-cause analysis Experience with RF scanners and barcode-based inventory systems Success in This Role Looks Like Inventory is received accurately and on time Discrepancies are identified before inventory reaches storage locations Customers receive timely communication regarding receiving issues Receiving backlogs are minimized Inventory accuracy remains above 99% The receiving area remains organized, safe, and efficient Skills & Traits Detail-oriented Highly organized Strong sense of ownership Excellent communication skills Problem solver Able to work independently Comfortable making decisions and escalating issues when needed Compensation Competitive pay based on experience Full-time position Opportunities for advancement within a growing logistics and fulfillment company Why Grayland?
