Be a Part of a Seriously Cool Place to Work! The Inventory Receiving Position is responsible for all tasks related to receiving product and goods, inventory maintenance, freight flow, managing backstock areas, and cost controls. This includes all of our live plant product, as well as all other product lines such as deco, pottery, garden solutions products, soils and outdoor living furniture, grills, firepits, etc.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
: Manage the intake and logging of incoming goods, inspecting shipments for accuracy and damage, updating inventory records, ensuring proper storage or distribution of product. Ensure timely completion of the receiving process Ensure compliance with all company processes related to receiving and inventory. Proactively coordinate with store and department managers to facilitate the receipt of deliveries. Assist with the offloading of delivery trucks and ensure proper receiving practices are occurring. Check and validate POs, goods received, invoices, packing slips, or similar related to the documentation, processing or control of inventory. Proactively support movement of inventory and communicating information related to price changes, special sales, etc. Be knowledgeable about product and its location on the property. Assist as needed or directed with plant maintenance (watering, deadheading, etc.), general store maintenance (sweeping, dust, bathroom and other cleaning, etc.), and other tasks. Engage with and assist customers, providing excellent customer service.
Requirements:
Strong organizational skills, prioritization skills, and attention to detail. Weekend availability and flexibility regarding shifts and hours. Willingness to learn and develop - proactively increase knowledge about our products, locations and procedures related to inventory management. Willing and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Able to interact pleasantly and courteously with customers, provide excellent customer service and comfortable promoting sales of our products.
Physical Demands:
