Job Description

Job Summary:
This Inventory Associate position is a unique and important position within the Operations Department. While you will be asked to know all the major procedures of the main warehouse, you will primarily be responsible for working at our sublease. In this primary role there will be a great need for attention to detail and organization. Maintaining accuracy with all inventory; in both location and numbers alongside the Inventory Control Clerk. Both assuring each other are safe and accurate, this collaborative role requires strong teamwork and positive disposition. All warehousing roles serve as back-up to the main warehouse staff when the need occurs making teamwork and adaptability a must for this incredibly diverse role.
Major Duties:
Organization and cleanliness of sublease area maintaining excellent standard that would be ready for visitors or inspection at any time. Attends annual and quarterly physical inventory counts as required. Performs quality checks on stored inventory per standard. Reports inventory discrepancies to Inventory Control Clerk Pulls weekly truck allocations, prep product for transport, and replenish inventory into shelves as per protocol / Inventory Control Clerk. Attends warehousing related meetings as needed. Picking & transporting items to be shipped from the sublease with consistent accurate preparation & delivery. Being timely and using time wisely. Late arrival, early departure or other absences from scheduled hours are disruptive and must be avoided. Maintains valid drivers license in good standing; giving notification to Warehouse Manger with any changes of that statding prior to driving any company vehicle. Maintains, documents and relays communications with appropriate staff for follow-up in timely manner. Ensures work areas are secure with doors open and closed on time / end of day with maintenance performed or reported if needed & equipment returned. Communicates work hazards and strictly adheres to health and safety practices (OHSA Compliance) Actively participates when needed in: packaging, handling, transportation, PO creation, unloading, receipt and several other shipping related duties Other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
Ability to exercise professionalism & courtesy with coworkers/vendors/leadership Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail Ability to anticipate, solve and resolve problems in best practices manner Ability to work overtime if needed Ability to meet deadlines and goals under strict or tight timelines A high standard of quality and mindfulness to detail Ability to work alone (rarely) and in a motivational team environment
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Required Current forklift certification ; sit down and stand up
  • preferred Associates Degree in Inventory Management, Business, Supply Chain, or similar
  • preferred 2-5 years of transferable experience in similar field

  • Inventory Management System(s)
  • Oracle, SalesForce, Fishbowl

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk/forklift (often)
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 50lbs. (occasionally)
  • Bending, reaching, kneeling, crawling (sometimes)
  • Warehouse environments with extreme heat/loud machinery (often)
  • Ability to travel via company automobile (occasionally)
