Job Description

Position Summary Superior Outfitters is seeking a hardworking, detail-oriented Warehouse Associate / Receiving Specialist to join our Distribution Center team. This role is responsible for receiving and processing incoming inventory, preparing product transfers to retail locations, conducting vendor RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) processes, and maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counts and inventory audits. This position plays a critical role in keeping inventory flowing efficiently throughout the company and ensuring our stores remain stocked, organized, and ready to serve customers at the Superior Standard. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, fast-paced, and takes pride in accuracy and accountability. Core Responsibilities Inventory Receiving & Processing Receive incoming freight shipments from vendors and distributors Verify shipment quantities and inspect products for damage or discrepancies Accurately receive inventory into company systems Label, organize, and stage merchandise for distribution to retail locations Communicate inventory discrepancies, shortages, or damaged goods to management Store Transfer Preparation Pull and prepare inventory transfers for Superior Outfitters retail locations Ensure transfers are accurate, organized, and properly packaged for transportation Coordinate inventory movement schedules with store teams and logistics staff Maintain organized staging areas for outgoing inventory Vendor Returns / RMAs Process vendor returns and defective merchandise claims Communicate with manufacturers and distributors regarding RMA approvals and procedures Package and ship return merchandise according to vendor requirements Track status of pending RMAs and maintain accurate documentation Inventory Control & Counting Conduct routine cycle counts and inventory audits Investigate inventory discrepancies and assist with corrections Help maintain accurate inventory levels across the Distribution Center Support annual physical inventory processes Warehouse Organization & Standards Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment Follow company safety procedures and operational standards Assist with warehouse projects and operational improvements as needed Operate with urgency, professionalism, and attention to detail. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous warehouse, inventory, shipping/receiving, or logistics experience preferred Comfortable using computers and inventory systems Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Ability to lift and move boxes/products regularly Reliable transportation and strong attendance record required Preferred Traits Self-motivated and dependable Strong work ethic and sense of urgency Positive attitude and willingness to learn Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment Takes ownership and pride in their work Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Frequent bending, reaching, and moving inventory throughout the warehouse About Superior Outfitters At Superior Outfitters, we strive to operate at the "Superior Standard"- doing everything better than the competition and better than we did yesterday. $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
