Job Description

Internship/Position Summary:
The Spare Parts Intern supports the inventory by accurately entering, updating, and organizing spare parts data into eMain. This role focuses on maintaining accurate records of spare parts, ensuring proper documentation, and assisting with inventory tracking to support efficient maintenance operations. Implementing Visual Management, Reorder Points, identifying Critical parts, etc.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Enter and update spare parts information into eMaint system.

Record details such as part numbers, descriptions, quantities, suppliers, and locations on a standard way.

Verify the accuracy of spare parts data.

Assist with organizing and labeling spare parts in the storage cabinets and Maintenace Shop.

Relocated Inventory depending of the frequency useImplement a visual managmentPerform a physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.

Maintain digital and physical documentation related to spare parts.

Follow company procedures for inventory control and data management.
Requirements Qualifications and Skills:
Working towards a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related fieldBasic knowledge of inventory management concepts is a plus.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management software.

Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.

Goal:
Understand the current system, clean data, and establish an accurate inventory baseline. Key ActionsInventory Assessment Review the current spare parts inventory list and storage layout.

Identify missing information (part numbers, descriptions, locations, suppliers).Physical Inventory Count Perform a complete physical count of all spare parts.

Compare physical quantities with system records. Discrepancy Reconciliation Identify discrepancies between eMaint system data and physical counts.

Investigate posibles causes (misplacement, incorrect entries, obsolete parts). Data Standardization Standardize naming conventions, part numbers, and descriptions.

Ensure each part has a unique identifier. Basic Organization Group similar parts together (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic,or by processes)Clean and organize storage areas.
