Job Description
Mildred Mitchell-Bateman Hospital is searching for a dedicated Inventory Control Associate to be a part of our amazing team! This position is in the Central Receiving department of a Joint Commission accredited and CMS certified Psychiatric hospital owned and operated by the West Virginia Department of Health Facilities. This position orders, receives, records, stores, and delivers supplies, materials, and/or equipment throughout the various departments of the hospital. Responsibilities also include assigning inventory numbers and conducting inventory of all equipment and maintaining accountability of supply usage, including medical supplies. As needed, this position may prepare cost estimates for materials and equipment for various projects as directed by the Supervisor of Central Receiving. This is a tobacco free facility. Chosen applicants must successfully complete a chemical urinalysis and breath analysis drug and alcohol screening test. All employees shall be subject to drug and alcohol testing for probable cause as set forth in Agency and Bureau policies. Must be able to work holidays and weekends. As needed, mandatory overtime is an essential function of this position. Candidate must successfully pass a background screening. 0512P02110
Education:
High school diploma or the equivalent.Experience:
One (1) year of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in the purchasing, receiving, inventorying, or shipping goods. Mildred Mitchell-Bateman Hospital, located in Huntington, West Virginia, is a 110-bed psychiatric hospital owned and operated by the West Virginia Department of Health Facilities. Mildred Mitchell-Bateman Hospital provides quality patient care and a safe environment for its patients, who are often committed to the hospital through civil commitment or, in the case of forensic patients, ordered through the judicial syste m. As a training site for future health care professionals, Mildred Mitchell-Bateman Hospital provides on-site learning experiences for educating physicians, nurses, practical nurses, psychologists, counselors, health care administrators, technicians, and supportive services personnel. The hospital holds accreditation by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and is certified by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
