Job Description

Summary
CHENEGA BASE & LOGISTICS SERVICES, LLC.
Ft Rucker, AL The Supply Technician II is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of supplies within a facility, including tasks like receiving deliveries, checking against orders, maintaining inventory levels, preparing items for shipment, and ensuring accurate record-keeping to maintain proper accountability of all supplies. Responsibilities Work within a framework of established regulations, policies, and procedures, or other governing property management guidelines. Deal with a variety of operating officials regarding limited aspects of program needs of the organization serviced. Review and annotate changes to unit material condition status report; posts transactions to the organizational and Installation Property Books and supporting transaction files. Edit all received supply transactions and posts as applicable. Generate hand receipts, ad hoc reports and other accountability documentations as directed. Receive, identify, and securely store hazardous materials in designated facility zones. Utilize computerized inventory systems (e.g., GCSS-Army or activity databases) to track stock, bench stock, and material consumption. Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for proper DOT/EPA labeling, packaging, and necessary documentation (e.g., manifests). Ensure discrepancies are identified and resolved immediately. Package, load, and unload hazardous materials for transport between storage areas, shops, and primary disposal sites. Conduct routine safety and compliance audits of storage areas. Ensure Hazardous Communication (HAZCOM) plans and typed safety data sheets are centrally located and accessible. Assist in or conduct containment, cleanup, and spill response operations. Safely operate specialized personal protective equipment (PPE) and testing instruments.
