DUTIES / R E S PO N SI B I L I T I E S
: Perform cycle counts and physical inventories of material and equipment at the main warehouse, offsite warehouses and at supplier locations. Perform all Logistics operations at Loxley warehouse for extended periods according to business needs. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, document and communicate findings, and perform inventory adjustments in IFS. Research discrepancy data to determine root-cause and present documented corrective actions. Perform material transfers within IFS as requested by Material Analysts and Engineering according to established procedures. Ensure all material moves are transacted accurately and timely in Industrial Financial System (IFS). Ensure all 5S and house-keeping standards are maintained and adhered to. Utilize Access, Excel, and IFS to track and report Logistics Metrics. Prepare non-conforming material (NCM) issues as needed, including; segregating parts, labeling, creating NCM cases within database, and notifying appropriate personnel. Promote new inventory parts through the system and identify part class and default receiving locations. Create purchasing requisitions for KANBAN, PIO, and INCO parts. Generate corresponding reports and verify order points and reorder quantities. Update EAN fields within IFS when inventory is consolidated, new inventory arrives, or inventory is slotted. Maintain EAN integrity by monitoring reports and material flow throughout the warehouse. Move parts within IFS and verify all related data moves with the parts and/or is updated after the move. Properly store and mark inventory materials according to established procedures. Assist with fulfillment of work packages and other warehouse duties as assigned. Operate forklift and other material handling equipment to safely load/unload and store material. Maintain Austal certification. Complies with Austal's employee handbook general guidelines, company procedures and policies.
Q U A L I F I C A T IO N S/ K N O W L E D G E /EX P E R I E NC E
: Bachelor's Degree or minimum five (5) years' experience in Inventory Management, Warehouse, or Logistics related field required. Manufacturing background preferred. Ability to demonstrated proficiency in IFS or other ERP system preferred. Microsoft office (Outlook, Word, Excel) experience required. Forklift, reach truck, order picker and scissor lift experience required. Knowledge of 5s principles and practices preferred.

Lift/push/pull up to 20lbs on a frequent basis (34-66% of the day). Must have the ability to climb in a safe manner (climbing includes stairs, scaffolding, ladders, and ramps). Ability to work at heights above 12' while working from ladders, scaffolding and/or man lifts. Able to work at a variety of levels (ex. waist, eye, overhead). Demonstrate the ability to safely and appropriately use required tools and Demonstrate good balance while working on uneven surfaces and maneuvering obstacles. Possess sufficient handgrip and coordination to carry and operate tools and equipment. Ability to utilize personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, steel toes shoes, goggles, respirator, safety harness, safety line, flotation gear, etc.) safely per OSHA standards. Ability to withstand cold and hot temperatures. Ability to enter 18" x 36" openings and work in confined spaces for prolonged periods of time (33-66% of the day). Able to respond to verbal and audible sounds/commands. Able to utilize adequate visual skills. Ability to fully extend the arm while reaching overhead, reaching out, reaching to the side and reaching down. Ability to perceive attributes of an object/material such as size, shape, temperature and texture by means of receptors in the hands and fingers.
