Technicians and gain ALANG membership, all current federal employees, all U.S. Citizens Duties Help (1) Schedules and conducts formal organizional s annually to each supported organizional account both on and off the installion to ensure custodians are adequely performing their accountability responsibilities. Verifies accountability of all capital equipment, nuclear reled equipment, Communicions Security (COMSEC) equipment, and performs a 10% random sample of remaining accountable assets. Ensures the unit has a process in place to account for pilferable items purchased with the Government Purchase Card (GPC). (2) Ensures accountability of equipment assets purchased with the GPC and/or through Base Contracting. Ensures organizional commanders account for and control budget code 9 NFx assets valued over $ 2,500.00 and those th are pilferable regardless of dollar value. Ensures assets are accounted for on the Organizional Visibility List (R15) and are inventoried least annually or upon change of custodian. (3) Attends base deployment concept briefings to identify organizions deploying equipment. Coordines with Equipment Custodians to identify equipment requirements for deployments. Requests deployment review listings through the GLSC or utilize similar listings and identifies equipment to be transferred or placed in a deployed stus. (4) Identifies, coordines and monitors War Readiness Merials (WRM) and mobility equipment requirements to ensure all authorizions are on hand, on order, or included in approprie budget document. Ensures valid Unit Type Codes (UTC), Use Codes, and WRM codes are assigned. (5) Ensures Block III (AFEMS CBT and supplemental) training is conducted for all Equipment/ SPRAMS custodians and Block IV training for deployed custodians. Monitors and reviews item accounting procedures carried out by these personnel. Provides assistance and additional training when required. (6) Functions as the base Equipment Review Approval Authority in verifying and validing equipment requests in accordance with established Allowance Source Codes (ASC), and completing actions as required for Equipment Authorizion Inventory Da (EAID) accounting. Utilizes AFEMS to determine and verify equipment authorizions for all supported organizions, to include assisting the Vehicle Maintenance and Analysis (VMA) in Registered Equipment Management (REMS) functions. (7) Interprets ASC and other da as it reles to weapons systems and base authorizion for equipment to identify valid requirements, and prepare change requests to ensure th equipment authorizions are maintained within applicable allowance. Ensures ASC upde reviews are conducted annually. (8) Manages all equipment items with the exception of vehicles. Provides technical and administrive support to Accountable Officers, Commanders, responsible officers, and responsible persons in the control and accountability of Class VII and Class IX (within Air Force Equipment Management System and Expeditionary Comb Support System) equipment assets in the wing. Interfaces with the proposed Air Force Fuels, Vehicles and Equipment Support Agency (AFFVESA) in regards to equipment management. (9) Ensures unit requirements have been cegorized as Critical/Important in the Equipment Requirement System (ERS) and has mching requisitions in all automed systems. Ensures custodians are aware of changes regarding the ERS. Reviews and analyzes da from which budget estimes are developed pertaining to equipment requirements. (10) Ensures a semi-annual reconciliion of all Communicions Security (COMSEC) items and annual small arms reconciliion are processed and all discrepancies resolved. Coordines with the GLSC to monitor the reconciliion of the COMSEC and Weapons control files and assets. Ensures COMSEC and small arms assets are inventoried and inventories documented
IAW AFMAN
23-110 and MAJCOM directives. (11) Crees computer inputs, maintains Master CA/CRL Jacket Files and Master SPRAM Jacket Files, and corrects errors identified on listings reling to equipment. Schedules and reviews organizional equipment/SPRAMS accounts in conjunction with custodians' annual inventory. (12) Develops, implements, and provides for administrive functions in the element. Receives, analyzes, researches, and prepares replies to messages, letters, and inquiries, assuring adeque and timely replies. Assembles and analyzes informion for the preparion of reports concerning equipment as directed by higher headquarters. (13) Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relionships with the MAJCOM Command Equipment Management Office (CEMO), GLSC, supported organizions, and higher headquarters. Meets with customers to assess customer sisfaction, explain organizion policy and procedures, and to resolve significant and/or potential problems. (14) Performs other duties as assigned.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
1-year specialized experience equivalent to least the next lower grade. Demonstred ability researching documents or other resources to coordine inventory requirements. Knowledge of stock levels, inventory, shipping, receiving, requisitioning and requirements of supplies and equipment. Experience involving the control of supply stocks and accounting for equipment. Knowledge of supply management, caloging, maintenance, and disposal procedures. Experience which required person-to-person contacts to convey informion and ability to compile reports, letters, memoranda, etc. Demonstred experience with cost estimes, budgets, or funding management. Experience conducting extensive and exhaustive searches for required informion; reconstruct records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operions support for supply activities.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
  • -Practical knowledge of a wide range of supply principles, concepts, and methodologies involving general supply, storage, distribution, and inventory specialties as they rele to equipment accountability; and skill in applying this knowledge to the guidance given to organizion commanders and Equipment/SPRAM Custodians.
  • -Knowledge of the Air Force Equipment Management System (AFEMS), to include the ability to research item records, upde base level da, such as Chief Financial Officer Da, Organizion Configurion Da, and Equipment Custodian Profile Da.
  • -Knowledge of the Equipment Requirements System (ERS) and associed procedures to valide and upgrade equipment requisitions.
  • Skill in conducting research, extracting pertinent informion from the Allowance Standard Retrieval System (ASRS) as it reles to base authorizions for equipment to identify valid requirements and to prepare change requests to ensure th equipment authorizions are maintained within applicable limits.
  • -Ability to communice clearly and effectively in writing to prepare, compile, and research informion for equipment accountability, authorizion, and formal organizional reports. Ability to communice orally to conduct briefings, offer training, and lead group conferences or sessions.
