With over twenty-five years of continuous growth, we pride ourselves on delivering fast and accurate results to our global customers while fostering a culture of diversity, employee development, and business success. #Alicat Position Summary The Inventory & Logistics Specialist is responsible for executing and maintaining accurate inventory operations, supporting material preparation for production, and ensuring efficient and accurate shipping processes. This role acts as a key operational link between Inventory, Production and Shipping, ensuring materials are properly controlled, staged, and delivered in alignment with production and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities Inventory Operations
  • Maintain accurate inventory transactions in ERP system
  • Ensure proper material identification, labeling, and location control
  • Enforce FIFO practices where operationally feasible
  • Perform and support cycle counts and inventory audits
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies (shortages, misplacements, incorrect counts)
  • Maintain clean and organized inventory locations to support efficiency and traceability Production Support (Includes Material Preparation)
  • Pick, stage, and prepare materials for production work orders (Head Assembly, SMT, etc.)
  • Verify accuracy of components, quantities, and revisions prior to release
  • Ensure materials issued to production are complete, accurate, and traceable
  • Coordinate with production teams to prioritize urgent or high-impact builds
  • Monitor shortages and proactively communicate material gaps
  • Support return-to-stock or reconciliation of unused materials
  • Help standardize material staging and preparation processes to reduce errors Shipping & Logistics
  • Prepare, pack, and verify outgoing shipments (domestic & international)
  • Ensure accuracy of shipping documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, labels)
  • Coordinate shipments with carriers (DHL, FedEx, UPS)
  • Track shipments and assist in resolving delivery issues
  • Verify part numbers, quantities, and configurations prior to shipment Cross-Functional Responsibilities
  • Act as a swing resource between Inventory, Production Support, and Shipping based on priorities
  • Serve as a control point for material movement between Inventory, Production, and Shipping
  • Help enforce discipline around material access and movement
  • Identify process gaps causing inventory loss or inefficiencies
  • Support development and enforcement of SOPs Qualifications Required
  • 2-5 years experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or logistics
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems
  • Strong attention to detail and accountability
  • Ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Preferred
  • Experience supporting production (material staging or work orders)
  • Familiarity with BOM structures and part revisions
  • Experience with international shipping
  • Basic data analysis (Excel) Key Traits

  • Comfortable working across multiple functions
