94702 An Inventory & Procurement Specialist job opportunity is open with our client in Berkeley, Ca. In this role you will support the development, testing, and validation of our energy storage products by ensuring our build teams have the exact parts and components they need when they need them. To be considered for this role you will have 3+ years of hands-on experience in inventory management, stockroom control, parts procurement, or a similar role in manufacturing, or lab environment. Job Duties
  • Support the development, testing, and validation of our energy storage products by ensuring our build teams have the exact parts and components they need, when they need them. T
  • This role is hands-on and critical to establishing organized, reliable part storage and tracking that enables the seamless fabrication of our hardware.
  • Own multiple inventory locations across our build areas, ensuring all parts and hardware are accurately tracked, stored, and readily accessible.
  • Design, organize, and set up new storage areas, continuously improving shelving, labeling, and layout to optimize workflow for the build technicians.
  • Proactively monitor stock levels to eliminate part shortages and ensure build schedules never experience downtime.
  • Execute regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to maintain inventory tracking accuracy.
  • Source and order parts directly from vendors, tracking lead times and managing incoming deliveries to keep pace with fast-moving build demands. Knowledge/Experience/Education/Skills
  • Ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a dynamic lab environment, and has experience with material organization, cycle counting, and parts ordering.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in inventory management, stockroom control, parts procurement, or a similar role in a manufacturing or lab environment.
  • Strong proficiency in inventory organization, parts categorization, and implementing effective storage systems
  • Ability to read and interpret bills of materials (BOMs), parts lists, and basic technical descriptions to ensure correct components are sourced.
  • Familiarity with inventory tracking tools, spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets)
  • Experience working directly with vendors, managing purchase orders, tracking lead times, and coordinating incoming shipments.
  • Strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and pride in maintaining a clean, efficient workspace.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and changing engineering needs.
  • Proactive problem-solver who can work independently to prevent part shortages or as part of a collaborative team.
