Your energetic approach will support infection prevention, maintain sterile processing standards, and uphold the highest levels of patient safety. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to healthcare excellence by managing inventory, sterilizing equipment, and supporting clinical staff with essential supplies. Responsibilities Ensure that all used medical equipment (e.g. suction machines, feeding pumps, etc.) are cleaned, sanitized and stored according to proper infection control technique and available for service within 24 hours. Ensure that the residents have sufficient medical supplies on a daily basis. Maintain Central Supply and satellite stations clean, organized, and sanitary. Enter resident charges accurately into PCC system in a timely manner. Assist Central Supply Coordinator with all order requisitions to administrator as needed. Coordinate Central Supply storeroom, inventory control, and satellite storage areas in various buildings; restock according to PAR levels established in conjunction with administration. Provide statistical information to administration upon request regarding procurements and distribution. Working Conditions Exposure to dust and irritants Is subject to frequent interruptions Is subject to pressure from outside vendors and sales representatives Is subject to call back during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.). May be subject to the handling of and exposure to hazardous chemicals. Requirements Associate Degree in business or management related field Minimum three (1) year experience in Central Supply, or other healthcare related experience Thorough understanding of sanitation and disinfection. Working knowledge of infection control and isolation precautions. Proficient use of internet and computer literacy for business activities Speak, read and write fluent English with clarity and proficiency Adheres to professional dress code that reflects the mission of Marycrest Manor with excellent grooming and appearance. Must have working knowledge of State and Federal regulations that govern long-term care. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records of supplies, sterilization cycles, and inventory levels. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clinical teams and support staff.
