Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Product Development, Inventory & Purchasing Specialist. This cross-functional role supports the full lifecycle of product development while overseeing inventory management and purchasing to ensure our supply chain runs efficiently. You will work closely with the Creative Director and operations team to bring new beauty products to life, manage stock levels, and maintain a seamless flow of goods from manufacturer to salon.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Development Lead the end-to-end product development process, from concept and formulation to testing and launch. Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure product quality, timelines, and cost targets are met. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements. Inventory Control Monitor and manage inventory levels across all product categories to prevent overstocking or stockouts. Analyze sales trends, seasonal shifts, and product performance to forecast inventory needs. Maintain accurate records and regularly reconcile physical stock with digital inventory systems. Identify opportunities for inventory optimization and propose improvements to inventory flow. Purchasing Source and purchase product materials, packaging, and finished goods in alignment with forecasted demand. Build and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers. Negotiate pricing and delivery schedules to ensure cost-efficiency. Track and manage purchase orders and shipments. Collaborate with accounting to ensure timely payment and resolve invoice discrepancies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Chemistry, Cosmetology, or related field. 2+ years of experience in product development, inventory management, or purchasing within the beauty industry. Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with inventory and purchasing systems (e.g., QuickBooks or similar). Excellent communication, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
