8+ month contract
Location:
1845 W 205TH ST, Torrance, CA 90501 (onsite)
Shift:
1st shift, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM start (Non‑9/80)
Safety:
Steel‑toe footwear required
Interview:
Required What you'll tackle Receive and inspect incoming goods; validate against POs/pack lists; identify, label, and disposition to storage or production. Maintain AS9100‑compliant documentation: lot/serial tracking, inventory transactions, bills of lading, and shipping records. Complete cycle counts and inventory audits; resolve variances and drive corrective actions. Store materials to environmental and handling requirements; preserve part integrity and shelf life. Partner with Procurement/Production/Quality to manage shortages and delivery schedules; support material requests. Participate in AS9100 audits; help implement process improvements aligned to quality standards. Must-haves AS9100 certification. 1-3 years in materials handling, preferably aerospace/defense/aviation or manufacturing. High school diploma or GED. Comfort with inventory systems and accurate data entry. Ability to lift/move heavy items and operate material handling equipment safely. Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication. Nice-to-haves AS9102 knowledge (first article inspection documentation). Familiarity with Lean/continuous improvement.
