JOB SUMMARY
The purpose of this position is to manage deployment and logistical (supply) assets of the CE squadron to ensure productive and effective utilizion of merial funding and requirements for all Civil Engineering tasks and responsibilities. Duties involve oversight/management of supply operions to include training of drill stus supply personnel, implemention of supply procedures/operions, maintaining squadron mobility equipment, providing supply guidance/assistance to other squadron personnel, and oversight/performance of requisitioning, receiving, storing, accounting for and issuing a variety of repair parts, components and tools. It involves performance of routine aspects of supply specialist work reled to limited segments of major areas of supply management (e.g., inventory management, storage management, etc.) as well as in reled activities (e.g., supply program management and procurement) in support of supply operions.
NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED.
This is an excepted position th requires membership in a compible military assignment in the Connecticut Air Nional Guard. The major duties include, but are not limited to: Manages the CE squadron mobility equipment and supply programs and provides training to drill stus guardsmen in accomplishment of these tasks. Works with the CE Funds Manager in planning, formuling, analyzing, and coordining CE supply budget submissions. Manages Civil Engineering equipment/merial accounts through a sophisticed Integred Engineering Management computer system. Performs a variety of ste and Federal purchasing agent functions to procure CE specific items through use of the Federal IMPAC card program and to accomplish all-inclusive Operions and Maintenance (O&M) purchases. Maintains/utilizes current Federal supply calogs, stock lists, GSA calogs, cross-reference lists, commercial manufacturers' parts lists and calogs. Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigion. Must meet Compible Military Assignment within one year from placement. Wear of the military uniform is mandory. GENERAL EXPERIENCE
Experience, educion, or training in a variety of operions or situions concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered. Experience using computer and automion systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
Your resume and any other supporting documention you wish to provide must clearly substantie you currently possess 12 months of specialized experience in the following: Experience, educion, or training which demonstres a thorough knowledge of governing supply regulions, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment. Experience conducting extensive searches for required informion; reconstructing records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operions support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, or parts. Experience performing routine aspects of supply work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems reled to a limited segment in one of the major areas of supply management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of governing Federal and ste supply regulions, policies, procedures, and instructions and their relionship to a total CE logistics supply program; and an intensive and in-depth knowledge of local supply and civil engineer requirements for merials and how they are used in construction and maintenance and repair work to ensure support for CE projects. Knowledge of standard procedures to perform routine aspects of supply specialist work reled to segments of major areas of supply management (i.e., inventory management, storage management, etc.) and reled activities (i.e., supply program management, procurement, etc.) in support of CE supply operions. Knowledge of overall supply operions to the extent th the incumbent has the ability to plan and analyze the effectiveness of the CE supply program and to serve as the authoritive advisor to the CE Commander and/or deleged representive on all mters pertaining to supply and to wing supply support. Ability to conduct extensive and exhaustive searches/review of records and demand da to determine if property has become obsolete or excess to need, to construct records for complex supply transactions, and to provide support for projects involving complex supply transactions or in obtaining unique CE supplies or equipment. Ability to identify specific items or suitable substitutes from descriptions of intended use and to review proposed purchases to ensure they are in accordance with organizional requirements. Knowledge of specialized CE automed da processing applicions and of office automion software procedures and function keys (i.e., Integred Engineering Management computer system)to provide a wide range of documents th often require complex forms, such as graphics or tables within text, to edit and reform electronic drafts, and to upde and revise existing dabases or spreadsheets. Knowledge of the nure and capability of different software packages and the integrion compibility among different software types. Skill in identifying and establishing special storage locions, ability to determine stock levels, and to ensure project merial is separed from regularly stocked items. Knowledge of CE workflow and experience with procedures and work control methods to ensure proper supply support. Ability in determining when tools and equipment should be sent for test, repair, and calibrion and to determine from records such errors as improper item issue/turn-in credit, and the failure of records to show items have been sent for repair. Knowledge of munitions forecasting in accordance with major command guidance. Knowledge and understanding of CE trade tools and special deployable assets. Knowledge of Federal, ste, and local rules and regulions governing supplies and environmental and safety requirements. Knowledge and understanding of

reporting requirements. Ability and certificion to train personnel in the operion of special purpose vehicles. Knowledge of communicion devices and etiquette and the ability to communice effectively with management officials and supervisors within and outside the immedie organizion and with individuals outside the employing agency. Knowledge of specialized equipment and the ability to determine suitable substitutes. Knowledge of and familiarity with various aircraft loading requirements in order to determine various pallet configurions.
