Job Description

Inventory Specialist About the Role We are seeking a Part-Time Inventory Specialist to support the physical and logistical needs of the business as a subcontractor. This role combines inventory management with hands-on support on client organizing projects, ensuring materials are organized, accessible, and ready for use. This is a highly active, hands-on role that requires working in both storage environments and client homes. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, and comfortable with physically demanding work and shifting priorities. This is a part-time, year-round position with ongoing work available based on business needs. Key Responsibilities Inventory & Logistics Unbox, sort, and store incoming product deliveries Verify accuracy and completeness of all orders Maintain organization and upkeep of storage spaces Track inventory, materials, and project-related items Handle product pickups, returns, and deliveries Coordinate and complete donation drop-offs Transport items between storage, job sites, and other locations Maintain cleanliness and organization of all materials and supplies Communicate any missing, damaged, or incorrect items Drive personal vehicle or rental van (e.g., U-Haul) to transport materials, inventory, and donations as needed Complete recurring or as-needed trips to White Plains, NY for pickups, deliveries, or project support Client Project Support Assist the lead organizer with execution of on-site client projects Support organizing, decluttering, sorting, and system setup Move, unpack, assemble, and place items within client spaces Prepare materials and supplies needed for project completion Maintain organization and cleanliness throughout project work Represent the company with professionalism and discretion in client homes What We're Looking For Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to follow systems while working independently Reliable, accountable, and able to take ownership of tasks Comfortable working in both structured (inventory) and dynamic (client) environments Strong communication and follow-through Professional and respectful in client-facing situations Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify and communicate issues Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry 40-45 lbs regularly Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods Comfortable loading and unloading materials and supplies Ability to navigate stairs and move items within residential spaces Comfortable working at a fast pace Important Notes This is a part-time role, approximately 16-20 hours per week This is an independent contractor role This role includes both inventory work and on-site client project support Hours are not guaranteed and may vary based on business needs Work locations will vary between storage spaces, client homes, and local errands Time spent traveling between work-related locations is considered billable This role requires a high level of physical activity and hands-on work This Role Is a Great Fit If You… Have a genuine passion for organizing and want work that feels meaningful and impactful Are kind, hard working, empathetic, reliable, and take pride in doing thoughtful, efficient work Find fulfillment in helping clients transform not just their spaces, but how they live within them Value a supportive team environment that respects balance, collaboration, and well-being Please send all resumes to careers@hausofharmony.com
