WAREHOUSE
Inventory Control Team Member Southeast Pet is currently seeking a Inventory Control team member for its warehouse located in Lakeland, FL. As an industry leader in the distribution of pet supply products to local retailers in the Southeast Region, Southeast Pet reputation for delivering outstanding service spans over 45 years.
Focus of Position:
This individual will be responsible for the counting and reconciling of product, slotting of new sku's and general inventory maintenance, which has a direct effect on fill rate and order accuracy while understanding the relationship between adjustments and the impact on the P&L. In addition to driving continuous improvements in the department this individual will place a high priority on detail and accuracy to successfully complete all tasks timely and demonstrate a high degree of professionalism.
Responsibilities:
Ability to manage the pressures and stress associated with a deadline- oriented atmosphere and customer service issues. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to successfully engage and lead individual and team discussions and meetings. Capable of working with peers and team members from other departments. Coordinate product transfers between warehouses. Use Voice to conduct daily bin counts.
Accuracy of inventory:
Responsible for scheduling and execution of cycle counts daily. Research and adjust all damages daily. Thoroughly and accurately research all picking errors and forward to shipping supervisor. Identify all sku's that are going to Auction and complete warranty tags. Research all variances requested by sales.
Slotting:
Work with shipping/receiving supervisor on slot location management to help increase efficiency and decrease picking errors. Work with receiving/putaway/purchasing on setting up new locations and adjusting the bin min/max. Work with purchasing on new vendor/items setup
Credits and Returns:
Oversee processing of all returns in a timely fashion Work with sales/transportation on all issues regarding returns condition Communicate with accounts receivable and sales on issuing credits to customers. Loss Prevention and Safety Assist with loss prevention issues while maintaining an emphasis on accuracy. Know and follow all safety rules in company handbook, Always report unsafe conditions to your supervisor immediately. Effectively, ongoing report facility and equipment damage.
Auditing:
Conduct audit program for all functional areas. Receiving, putaway, picking, packing and loading completed weekly.
Hours of Operation:
Full time position Monday -Friday Or as required to meet business needs.
Position Requirements:
3-5 years' experience Must have a positive attitude, be self-motivated and a team player. Working knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) Must have excellent computer skills including Excel & Word. Valid driver's license
