Job Description

Senior Inventory Control Specialist Compensation:
$55,000 - $65,000
Location:
Miami, FL A leading transportation and industrial operations organization is seeking a Senior Inventory Control Specialist to support inventory management, logistics coordination, and operational readiness at a highly automated facility. This position is responsible for overseeing inventory accuracy, managing spare parts and materials, supervising inventory personnel, and supporting maintenance operations through effective inventory control processes. The successful candidate will ensure critical assets are available when needed while driving continuous improvement across inventory and logistics functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage inventory levels using computerized inventory management systems. Supervise inventory control personnel and provide training and guidance. Coordinate receiving, storage, issuance, tracking, and replenishment of parts, tools, and materials. Support maintenance teams by issuing inventory to work orders and tracking inventory usage. Coordinate shipping, receiving, repairs, warranty returns, and vendor activities. Assist with procurement processes, purchase requisitions, and inventory replenishment. Generate inventory reports, analyze inventory trends, and recommend improvements. Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards. Coordinate maintenance and certification activities for facility equipment and tools. Participate in cross-functional meetings to support operational objectives.
Requirements:
5+ years of inventory control, warehouse, shipping/receiving, materials management, or logistics experience. Experience using inventory management software, ERP systems, CMMS platforms, or related technologies. Strong Microsoft Office skills. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
