Job Description

$18.00 Hour Monday to Friday 7AM to 4PM Must have ability to Drive different types of vehicles and clean Driving record. Must complete Driver Records Screenings. Must complete Background and Drug Screenings and be able to complete spot on the job Drug screenings when required. Must have State of Florida Drivers License. Inventory Control Specialist (Driver) in support of Fleet Management operations. This position will provide critical logistical and operational support by coordinating and performing the transportation of County-owned fleet vehicles and equipment to and from external vendors for maintenance, repair, inspections, warranty work, and upfitting activities, as well as transporting fleet units between internal customer sites and Fleet Management garages. These duties are essential to minimizing technician downtime, maintaining shop productivity, and ensuring fleet units are returned to service in a timely manner. In addition, the position will be responsible for procuring and transporting parts, materials, and supplies from vendors that do not provide delivery services, as well as transferring parts and inventory between Fleet Management sites located throughout the County. This role requires close coordination with Fleet Parts personnel, vendors, and internal Fleet Management staff to ensure accuracy, accountability, and continuity of operations. While the individual assigned to this role will provide support within Fleet Management parts rooms as operationally required, the majority of the position's responsibilities will be field-based and involve operating County-owned vehicles in the course of daily duties. The role functions as a flexible operational resource that supports multiple Fleet locations and adapts to changing workload demands, directly contributing to efficient fleet operations, customer service responsiveness, and overall service delivery. #FTM
