About the role:
We are seeking a Receiving & Inventory Specialist to support Capital Health Plan's Purchasing operations by managing capital assets, overseeing inventory systems, and ensuring compliance with asset control, audit, and retention standards. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating audits, reconciling vendor orders, and supporting centralized supply distribution across the organization. The Receiving & Inventory Specialist works closely with Accounting, Central Supply, Purchasing, and departmental partners to ensure inventory accuracy, proper documentation, and timely resolution of discrepancies. This role also supports Mail Center operations and ensures deliveries and shipments are tracked and distributed accurately. We're looking for someone who has: High school diploma or GED One to three months of related experience or training preferred Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate a motor vehicle Experience handling inventory, receiving, distribution, or asset tracking functions Ability to reconcile received goods with purchase orders and resolve discrepancies Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate inventory records Ability to follow policies related to asset management, retention, and disposal Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word Highly preferred candidates also have: Experience working with capital asset management or inventory control systems Experience supporting or conducting physical inventory audits Familiarity with inventory supply chain tools (e.g., Infor Mobile Supply Chain Management or similar systems) Experience coordinating with offsite storage or records management vendors Ability to train others on inventory systems or stock control processes Experience supporting mailroom or centralized supply operations About Capital Health Plan (CHP): CHP is a locally based, not‑for‑profit health maintenance organization serving the Tallahassee region for more than four decades.
