Our personal care and household product portfolio includes baby diapers, wipes, feminine pads, paper towels, bath tissue, adult incontinence products, laundry detergents, fabric finishers, and dishwash solutions. In addition, we manufacture certain raw materials and components used in the manufacturing of these products, including flexible print and packaging solutions. We are seeking a Inventory Specialist for First Quality Baby Products located in Macon, GA. This position will be responsible for ensuring daily integrity of the inventory and housekeeping.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Observes all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times
- Follows necessary GMP, FDA, and ISO regulations/guidelines
- Conducts cycle counting
- Assists the Supervisor/Group Leader in managing quality-control systems, which includes training personnel, monitoring compliance with procedures and troubleshooting problems, to include providing key input for formal appraisals
- Conducts audits of incoming materials as requested
- Participates in monthly, quarterly, and annual physical inventories
- Conducts inventory variance research
- Assists with the training of other employees
- Monitors housekeeping in all areas of the plant and directs efforts to maintain excellent housekeeping
- Operates the radio frequency equipment to conduct inventory movements, barcode scanning, and physical inventories
- Performs other duties as necessary when directed to do so
- Inspects all equipment used on a daily basis and report defects to Management
- Supports production lines with material requests
- Assists with repack and labeling operations when necessary The ideal candidate should possess the following:
- Standard knowledge of product codes, general warehouse procedures, and the radio frequency system
- Fundamental computer knowledge or willingness to learn
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to operate in a team-oriented environment
