RESPONSIBILITIES I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains accurate and appropriate levels of inventory in clinical and other assigned areas. Responsible for tracking supplies, processing and maintaining accurate records through the Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) system, and other hospital information systems as appropriate. Keeps current on specialty items for department/service. Performs duties in accordance with department and medical center policies and procedures.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Essential:
standing, walking, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking; lifting, pushing/pulling usual weight of 5 pounds up to 20 pounds of force, reaching above, at and below shoulder level; static gripping of an object for prolonged periods.
Frequent:
sitting, repetitive arm/hand motions.
Occasional:
stooping/bending, squatting, twisting body, frequent gripping of an object. Operates computer, print, copier, facsimile, and calculator.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE
High school diploma or equivalent. Certification as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) by the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) preferred.
B. EXPERIENCE
Two (2) years experience in product distribution and inventory management, preferably in a comparable organization. Experience to demonstrate ability to operate automated inventory systems. Knowledge of medical supplies preferred. Equal Opportunity Employer / Disability / Vet Your Health.
