SUMMARY OF DUTIES
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Supply Management Specialist in a developmental capacity. This is a developmental position leading to the next position of a Supply Management Specialist, GS-2003-11. Duties and responsibilities of the position are essentially the same as th of the full-performance PD with the exception of additional training, supervision, guidance, and direction necessary until incumbent tains the full-performance level of experience. As level of knowledge and experience increases, level of supervision will decrease accordingly. Incumbent may be promoted to next higher grade without further competition after completion of minimum TIG (Time-in-Grade) requirement, completion of all training as indiced by manager, with recommendion of the supervisor, provided the full-performance position remains as a valid position. Difference in factor levels are provided below. Performs developmental assignments of moderely difficult and complex nure consisting of well-precedented tasks designed to orient the employee in the applicion of supply programs and activities. Performs recurring assignments. Carries out special projects and participes in special initiives and studies. Prepares written correspondence and other documention. Performs other duties as assigned. GENERAL EXPERIENCE
Experience, educion, or training which has provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field. Experience using computer and automion systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
To qualify for the GS-09: Must have least 1-year specialized experience equivalent to least the next lower grade. Experience analyzing, developing, evaluing to improve supply programs, policies, procedures, techniques, etc. Experience involving the control of supply stocks and accounting for equipment. Knowledge of supply functions, caloging, maintenance, and disposal procedures. Experience in cost estimes, budgets, or funding management. Experience conducting extensive searches for required informion; reconstruct records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operions support. Experience requiring person-to-person contacts to convey informion and ability to compile reports, letters, memoranda, etc. To qualify for the GS-11: 1-year specialized experience equivalent to least the next lower grade. Experience supervising and/or managing supply personnel and a variety of supply functions. Knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system. Experience coordining with other organizions on complex and controversial supply issues. Experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulions to upper levels of management regarding supply functions.
MILITARY TECHNICIAN COMPATIBILITY POSITION
Prior to placement in this position, the selected applicant must be assigned to an approprie military position and must meet the definition of a dual stus technician in accordance with 32 U
S C 709. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT & NOTES
1. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. 2. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. 3. Ability to establish effective professional working relionships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperive working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission. 4. May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; over/comp time may be required. 5. This is a Nional Guard dual stus technician position which requires military membership.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
For positions requiring the operion of motor vehicles, candides must have a valid ste driver's license for the ste in which they live or are principally employed. For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.
