- John Deere Des Moines Works This is an impactful, long-term 1+ year contract opportunity paying up to $28/hr , including 1 week of PTO .
Operating fully onsite in Ankeny, IA, you will take immediate ownership of a challenging parts portfolio, managing purchased parts delivery for both internal and external suppliers to keep production lines running seamlessly. This position is structured around the fiscal year with clear plans to extend annually.
Position Details & Compensation Pay Rate:
Up to $28/hr (W2).
Location:
100% Onsite at John Deere Des Moines Works (Ankeny, IA).
Duration:
1+ Year contract assignment (With routine annual extension plans).
Shift & Hours:
1st Shift (7:00 AM
Dress Code:
Business Casual.

Core Responsibilities Supplier Schedule Management:
Monitor, evaluate, and manage purchased parts delivery schedules for a complex matrix of internal and external suppliers across one or more locations.
Material Expediting:
Proactively identify material constraints, resolve delivery friction points, and expedite critical parts to ensure factory production schedules encounter zero disruptions.
Data & Inventory Auditing:
Utilize enterprise systems to track supplier delivery performance, audit inventory levels, and maintain absolute parts parameter accuracy.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Interface daily between external vendor contacts and internal manufacturing, quality, and material flow teams to align logistics requirements.
Required Skills & Experience Education Foundations:
A 4-year degree in a Business-related or Supply Management discipline is required. (While open to high-potential recent graduates, priority tracking will be placed on candidates with relevant professional work history).
Technical Software Skills:
Solid computer literacy and typing proficiency, including strong foundational experience utilizing Microsoft Office applications (specifically Excel).
Communication Strengths:
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with a natural ability to balance professional urgency with cooperative problem-solving. What Makes You Stand Out Proven, hands-on transaction and tracking experience utilizing SAP software architectures. Direct professional experience managing inventory parameters or parts tracking within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Established background interacting directly with suppliers to resolve lead-time and shipping defects.
