$20-24/Hr On W2 (Without Benefits) Job Description A US Device Hub Specialist is responsible for managing the inventory and the shipping and receiving of IT equipment. This role ensures that all IT hardware is properly stored, tracked, and deployed to support the organization's operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate records of all IT equipment, including laptops, desktops, mobile phones, and tablets.
Order Picking:
Accurately picking products according to order specifications and preparing them for shipment.
Equipment Distribution:
Coordinate the distribution of IT equipment to various departments and ensures timely delivery.
Packaging:
Packing items into boxes or containers efficiently to ensure safe delivery.
Receiving:
Receiving and check-in of items returned to the Device Hub.
Asset Tracking:
Use asset management software to record the status and disposition of all IT equipment shipped from or received at the Device Hub.
Quality Control:
Ensuring that the picked items are correct and undamaged before shipping.
Equipment Operation:
Using equipment such as pallet jacks and moving carts to move products within the Device Hub.
Documentation:
Use existing knowledgebase articles and suggest improvements to process documentation. Additional Responsibilities Managed end-to-end device lifecycle including hardware installation, BIOS/driver updates, OS imaging, software configuration, staging for new hires, and coordinating replacements/upgrades. Executed secure deployment, imaging, backend troubleshooting during QA, testing, and staging, and full lifecycle management for enterprise devices (laptops, desktops, tablets, and phones Orchestrated full lifecycle tracking and administration of IT assets and configuration items in ServiceNow CMDB, performing quality assurance checks, warranty processing, and inventory audits. Utilized PowerShell and CMD scripts to automate IT tasks—including data wipes, OS deployments, driver updates, and software installations. Coordinated with vendors for procurement, warranty processing, and replacement of enterprise devices and parts, while performing hands-on hardware repairs and warranty work as a Dell Certified Dispatch Technician, ensuring timely fulfillment and adherence to manufacturer standards.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Experience in IT asset management, inventory control, or a related field.
Physical Stamina:
Capability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time. Attention to
Detail:
High level of accuracy and attention to detail to prevent errors.
Communication Skills:
Good verbal communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with the ServiceNow asset management tool. Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not required.
Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
