SUPPLY TECHNICIAN

(TITLE 32), GS-2005-5/6/7, you will perform duties associed with storage and distribution, caloging and/or supply identificions systems, property utilizion, or other reled supply activities. Major Duties

• This is NOT an all-inclusive list: Perform routine and non-routine merial coordinion duties for special programs, maintenance, or production shops.

Responsible for local management of decentralized and decontrolled items which require technical intervention to ensure effective supply and economy. Plan for supply requirements to sisfy customer needs. Authorize procurement for funds management. Responsible for storage and distribution of supplies. Utilize caloging and/or supply identificion systems to properly account for supplies. Conduct extensive and exhaustive searches for required informion in order to reconstruct records for complex supply transactions. Perform routine aspects of supply specialist work based on practical knowledge of standard supply procedures. Utilize requisitions, supporting documents, and reference merial to perform merial coordinion storage management. Utilize established supply regulions, policies, procedures, and other instructions to perform specific supply assignments. AREA OF CONSIDERATION

The areas of considerion for this position, Title 32 Excepted Service (32 U.S. Code § 709), in the following manner and sequence: The FIRST area of considerion for this position all excepted permanent and indefinite temporary technicians within the ILNG. The SECOND area of considerion all current Federal Employees. The THIRD area of considerion all Federal re-employment eligible. The FOURTH area of considerion applicants willing to become T32 Dual Stus Technicians and gain ILNG membership. The FIFTH area of considerion will U.S. Citizens.

GS-07 LEVEL

• MUST possess specialized experience which includes 12 months of specialized experience the lower-level GS-06, educion, or training which may also include experience controlling supply stocks and accounting for equipment, caloging, maintenance, and disposal procedures.

Completing complex supply transactions; and/or providing supply operions support; experience coordining with other organizions on complex and controversial supply issues. Experience analyzing, developing, evaluing to improve supply programs, policies, procedures, techniques, etc.; knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system; experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulions to upper levels of management regarding supply functions.

GS-06 LEVEL

• MUST possess specialized experience which includes 1-year of specialized experience the lower-level GS-05, educion, or training which demonstres knowledge of governing supply regulions, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment; experience conducting searches for required informion; reconstruct records for supply transactions; and/or provide supply operions support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts; experience performing various aspects of supply specialist work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems reled to segments in one or more major areas of supply management; experience which required person-to-person contacts to convey informion and ability to compile reports, letters, memoranda, etc.

GS-05 LEVEL

• MUST possess specialized experience which includes 1-year of specialized experience the lower-level GS-04, which demonstres knowledge of standardized supply regulions, policies, procedures, or other instructions reling to the specific functions assigned; experience th demonstres knowledge of one or more automed supply dabases to enter and retrieve recurring reports; experience using working knowledge of the structure of a supply organizion and the organizions serviced.
