Our Fort Wayne Manufacturing facility is looking for energetic and motivated individuals to join our team. This person will use their excellent math, time management, and multitasking skills to achieve PHD's initiatives in inventory accuracy. Knowledge of inventory control will assist this individual while performing duties in the areas of stock processing, cycle counts, and pulling orders for our assembly department. As an Inventory Specialist, you will be tasked daily with ensuring incoming inventory is placed into stock accurately, transporting materials from stock to production benches, and performing cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory levels. Knowledge gained, training completion, and time on the job are rewarded with scheduled raises, reaching a top pay of $23.80, with annual raises thereafter.
Job Duties :
Put product in stock Route parts to the correct area Pull parts for work orders Pull pink slips for sales orders Verify count and bag parts Make ID tags for parts Pull orders for all Assembly Cells Perform cycle count functions Maintain good housekeeping conditions in the work area Use the PC to access job related databases and complete all computer functions required for the position.Work Environment:
Time is spent on the manufacturing floor, which is climate controlled. Work is performed on the manufacturing floor around various types of machinery which include moving parts, chemicals, coolant, and by-products of material being formed. Some time is spent in front of a computer screen utilizing a keyboard and manipulating a mouse. Must be able to do shift work. One level with concrete floors, no steps, stairs, or inclines Rubber/foam mats are present in the Assembly areaPhysical Demands:
Extensive periods of standing, walking, arm and hand motion, some foot motion Ability to safely lift up to 40 pounds regularly Manual dexterity, rotation of wrists Good visual ability High School diploma or equivalent Strong attention to detail Good organization skills Must be able to demonstrate skill and knowledge to pass the certification process provided by the company and perform Inventory Specialist duties in the following areas: Stock Processing; Cycle Counting; Pulling orders for assembly; Stock pullsSimilar jobs in Fort Wayne, IN
