Job Description

Inventory Distribution Technician - Part-Time 0.5 (40 hours per pay period);
Day ShiftJob Summary:
Under the direction of the Director of Supply Chain or Designee, the Distribution Inventory Technician will perform functions including but not limited to: Distribute supplies and equipment to all Hospital areas, restocks Central Distribution and all patient care areas within the hospital, receives purchases, verifying correct vendors, purchase order numbers and quantities. Inspects goods for damage, processes receiving documents, replenish warehouse supplies, fills department requisitions and places postage on the Hospital outgoing mail. Other duties as assigned.
Education, Certifications/Licensure, and Experience:
Required:
High school diploma or GED required
Preferred:
1 year experience in Hospital Distribution or Receiving preferred. Hospital inventory control helpful.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Proficiency with computer software programsStrong communication skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Supports Receiving/Central Distribution in times of need2. Receives all authorized shipments within the designated work hours, Monday through Friday3. Matches packing slips with corresponding purchase orders, verify shipment for correct vendor, description and quantity4. Inspects all shipments for damages and notifies purchasing of discrepancies and damage5. Enters receiving information into the hospital computer system daily upon receipt of goods or equipment6. Replenishes warehouse par levels with incoming stock shipments7. Fills department requisitions on assigned delivery days8. Delivers nonstock received items to appropriate departments within accepted time frame9. Logs and tags all minor/capital equipment10. Delivers tagged equipment to Biomed or Facilities before going to final department11. Places postage on outgoing mail daily and deliveries as required12. Places orders for medical gas13. Runs reports from POI and Pyxis sites for refill quantities in the time assigned14. Completes physical counts on POI and Pyxis sites for adjusted refill quantities15. Distributes supplies/equipment to all areas as needed16. Assures proper stock levels maintained in Central Distribution and Patient Care Areas.17. Ensures all supplies delivered to the floor are charged appropriately18. Ensures all supplies returned to Central Distribution, overstock or outdates are recorded/reported properly19. Concept of Inventory Control understood20. Other duties as needed and assigned.
