What You Can Expect Working in the Inventory & Quality Control Specialist Position The Inventory & Quality Control Specialist works under the direction of the Fabrication and Production Manager and is responsible for checking the quality of incoming and outgoing materials or products as well as the production procedures. This job involves tasks such as keeping a record of defects, analyzing products, and overseeing procedures. The Inventory & Quality Control Specialist is also responsible for accurate and timely receiving, storage, and disbursement of materials, tools, equipment, and products. As an Inventory & Quality Control Specialist, you are integral in supporting RedGuard Diversified Structure's goal of delivering customers a quality product on time. Responsibilities
  • Inspects product output to ensure proper dimensions and functionality.
  • Checks that the assembly or production line adheres to standards and procedures.
  • Reviews blueprints and specifications in comparison to produced goods.
  • Records inspection results by completing reports.
  • Proposes improvements to the production process.
  • Assists in the development of test methods and inspection plans.
  • Inspects loads for the proper bill of materials prior to shipment.
  • Monitor's equipment to ensure that it is safe.
  • Maintains an organized, clean, and professional-looking storeroom and ensures proper storage of materials in their designated areas.
  • Maintains organized files of packing lists for quality inspections.
  • Properly packages materials for outbound shipments to prevent damage.??
  • Trains the production team in quality control measures to improve product excellence.
  • Inspects shipments upon receipt to verify that all materials match the purchase order and packing list. Requirements Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 6+ months of inventory control experience, including cycle counting.
  • ?Experience and ability to use a computerized inventory system (such as Sage JobOps).
  • ?Valid driver's license and ability to operate a forklift.
  • ?Excellent communication skills with manufacturing workers, purchasing department, and outside vendors.
  • ?Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.
  • ?Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • ?Ability to perform basic math calculations.??
  • Excellent written and verbal skills and interpret customer and company quality requirements to ensure conformance with customer expectations. Preferred Qualifications
  • Able to read and understand technical drawings (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) and specifications from various industries.
  • Knowledge of inventory and order processing software, such as SAGE.
  • Familiarity with database and contact management software, such as CRM.
