Job Description

, Job Overview The Supply Technician provides support in inventory management, processing, storage management, inspection, tracking, collecting, and transporting hazardous materials at USAG Fort Campbell, KY. The Supply Technician is expected to report to work Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM CT. Responsibilities • Provide support services for Hazardous Materials
EESOH-MIS
Database Management for EPCRA Reporting/Benchstock Warehouse Management/Deliveries, Parts Washer/Weapons Cleaner Management and Solvent Recycling, Used Oil and Used Antifreeze Recycling, Refrigerant Management and Reclamation, CLIX Battery and CLIII(P) UBL/Contingency Packages for training and real-world missions, and Tactical Vehicle Fire Extinguisher Service Perform inventory management of hazardous materials and hazardous waste Track hazardous material storage area locations for all customers on the installation, utilizing EESOH-MIS and other established pollution prevention, inventory, and reporting practices Apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures relating to environmental programs Assure compliance with environmental regulations • Inspect waste generation and storage locations across the installation Inform individuals and groups of pollution control regulations and inspection results and explain how problems can be corrected Maintain logbooks, records, and computer data Conduct or oversee the collection of environmental samples Provide accurate data to the PPOC program managers Prepare or assist in the preparation of technical reports Pick up and transport hazardous waste, and non-regulated waste, recyclable materials, and other materials in a timely manner Plan and always execute all work in a safe manner, complying with OSHA regulations and have a thorough understanding of safety procedures Utilize Material Safety Data Sheets to indentify checmical characteristics Conduct environmental training Perform office duties as required Other duties as assigned Compliance with company policies and safety policies/protocols Qualifications Minimum of a high school diploma or an associate degree with relevant experience preferred Two years' experience in the environmental field preferred (college level chemistry, environmental science may apply towards "experience") Required proficiency with standard Microsoft Office software Familiarity with applicable environmental, health, and safety standards Basic knowledge of terminology, principles, and techniques of the management of hazardous waste, waste oil/petroleum, universal waste, data collection, organization, and analytical procedures Detail oriented Additional Eligibility Requirements Must have U.S. citizenship Must have, and maintain, a Tennessee or Kentucky Driver's License or equivalent Must be able to pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Must have a favorably adjudicated National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) or an equivalent or higher investigation Must be capable of obtaining/maintaining a DOD access card Ability to operate a forklift Specialized certifications and training such as
EPA 608/609
refrigerant handling, spill training, AT Level 1 training Must have or obtain OSHA 40-hour Hazardous Waste Training

within 90 days of hire date • Travel Daily travel to locations within Fort Campbell. A GSA vehicle will be provided for daily travel/work at the installation. Physical Demands Requires the lifting and handling of hazardous and non-hazardous waste containers, such as full 55-gallon drums assisted with the use of a drum truck and forklift. Work frequently requires standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions for extended periods. Individual is required to demonstrate his/her ability to lift and or carry equipment weighing up to 40 pounds for at least 30 feet. The work occurs both inside and outside in all types of climates. When working outside, the Technician is often exposed to hot sun for extended periods of time and occasionally to bad weather. Outside work may be performed under adverse conditions for extended periods. The technician may be required to wear gloves, and other personal protective equipment designed to nullify the risk of exposure to toxic material, which might damage their health. Damage to health may occur if appropriate safety procedures are not followed. Discomfort may be experienced while wearing protective clothing, respirators, goggles, or face masks for extended periods of time.
