Job Description
Job Summary:
Responsible for tracking and maintaining accurate inventory data while supporting daily material operations. This position ensures system records align with physical inventory through regular counts, data reconciliation, and cross-functional coordination. The role also includes preparing and staging raw materials for shipment or sale and safely handling materials using powered equipment.Responsibilities:
Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy by updating item quantities, locations, and transactions within inventory systems or tracking tools. Conduct routine cycle counts and periodic full physical inventories; analyze results to identify variances, losses, or discrepancies. Research inventory inconsistencies such as shortages or overages and partner with relevant teams to determine root causes and corrective actions. Collaborate with purchasing, manufacturing, and shipping teams to align inventory records with operational activity. Execute inventory movements including receiving, issuing, transferring, shipping, and adjusting materials, ensuring all transactions are completed accurately and on time. Physically collect, stage, and prepare raw materials for internal use or external shipment. Operate forklift equipment safely to move bar stock, forgings, and other materials in accordance with site safety standards. Support the Materials team with additional tasks as needed and maintain effective communication across departments.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Forklift experience required. Experience in inventory control, materials handling, or warehouse operations. Familiarity with inventory management software, spreadsheets, or databases. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Additional Details Full Time /Onsite Schedule:
