Part-Time Home Inventory Coordinator

Job Summary:

The Part-Time Home Inventory Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the accuracy, visibility, and status of our home inventory. This individual will track spec homes throughout each phase of construction and sale, ensuring all data is current and consistent across internal systems. This position is fully in-office and plays a key role in both operational tracking and decision-making, including collaborating on the selection of finishes, features, and options for spec homes. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to proactively support other teams. Working in a part-time capacity, this role requires strong prioritization and communication skills to support design, estimating and sales teams efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all inventory homes, including pricing, availability, and stage of construction Track and monitor the progress of spec homes from build start through completion, sale and close Ensure inventory status (e.g., available, under construction, pending, sold) is consistently updated across all systems Identify and resolve discrepancies between internal systems, reports, and field updates Partner with construction and sales teams to stay informed on timelines, delays, and availability changes Communicate inventory updates clearly and proactively to stakeholders Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy and consistency Maintain detailed records of home specifications, features, and timelines Track key metrics such as build timelines, days on market, and inventory trends Prepare reports and provide insights to leadership to support inventory strategy and performance Identify potential risks, delays, or market factors that may impact sales or customer experience Participate in decision making related to spec home options, selections, and features based on market trends and inventory strategy

Education and Experience:

To succeed in this role, you should meet the following qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Construction Management, or a related field preferred 2-4 years of experience in inventory management, construction coordination, real estate operations, or a related role Experience working with data tracking systems, CRM platforms, or inventory management tools preferred Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize in a part-time schedule Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams Process-driven mindset with the ability to follow and improve workflows Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with inventory or CRM systems preferred
