Job Description

Job Summary Founded in 1976, we are a family-owned and led machine parts manufacturer in the Twin Cities Metropolitan area. As a company, our mission is to supply the parts necessary for the ever-growing global industrialization process. To accomplish this, we depend on the interconnectedness and determination of our team members. Therefore, as industrial demand increases, we must develop our team accordingly. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchaser to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing and procuring materials, supplies, and services necessary for our operations. This role requires strong negotiation skills, supplier management expertise, and the ability to manage contracts effectively. The Purchaser will play a critical role in ensuring that our organization operates efficiently by maintaining optimal inventory levels and fostering positive relationships with suppliers. Responsibilities Source and procure materials, supplies, and services in alignment with company needs. Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to achieve favorable terms. Utilize ERP systems INFOR Visual for inventory management and procurement processes. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their offerings. Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of goods. Monitor inventory levels and forecast future procurement needs. Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding procurement. Expedite orders from vendors as needed Oversee production inventory Perform special projects as needed Help with inventory twice a year as needed Requirements Proven experience in purchasing or procurement roles. Familiarity with the ERP system "Visual" is highly desirable. Strong understanding of supplier management and contract management principles. Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on achieving the best price and contract terms. Ability to analyze data related to sourcing, logistics, and inventory management. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Effective communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers. Proficiency in using procurement software and systems. Schedule "First Shift", Full Time. 6:00 am to 4:30 pm from Monday to Thursday. Overtime on Fridays as needed. Benefits Health Insurance ($75.00/mo. for employees, Master Machine will pay the rest.)
