We're looking for a dependable, motivated, and detail-oriented Yard Inventory Specialist to join our team at our Loretto location. This position plays a vital role in keeping our equipment yard organized, safe, and operating efficiently while ensuring inventory accuracy and excellent customer service. Position Summary The Yard Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing, organizing, and tracking equipment, parts, and materials throughout the yard. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, staying active, and being part of a collaborative team. What You'll Do Inventory Management Accurately track equipment, parts, and materials using inventory management systems. Conduct routine inventory counts and inspections to maintain accurate stock levels. Receive, label, and properly store incoming inventory. Organize yard inventory for efficient access and utilization. Help identify and resolve inventory discrepancies. Yard Operations & Equipment Management Prepare equipment for rental or sale by verifying cleanliness and operational readiness. Coordinate with the service department to maintain equipment condition and availability. Stage, move, and organize equipment throughout the yard to support daily operations. Assist with loading and unloading equipment as needed. Safety & Compliance Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Conduct routine yard inspections and report safety concerns. Ensure equipment and materials are stored safely to prevent accidents or damage. Operate forklifts and equipment safely while adhering to all safety standards. Reporting & Documentation Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, transfers, sales, and returns. Assist with tracking rental and sales equipment to ensure proper documentation. Provide inventory and equipment status updates to management as needed. Customer Service Assist customers by locating equipment and materials quickly and efficiently. Maintain a professional, friendly, and helpful attitude when interacting with customers and coworkers. Support the overall customer experience by ensuring the yard is organized and accessible. Qualifications Previous experience in inventory management, yard operations, warehousing, or a related field preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Forklift certification is a plus or willingness to obtain certification. Commitment to workplace safety and following established procedures. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, and move materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds or more. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
