Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
The Inventory Specialist will perform a wide range of clerical and technical support work, to include inventory accounting, records entry and review, requisition and re-supply, receipt and release of property, and shipping.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Gathering information to support inventory records, identifying discrepancies, and assisting with corrective actions. Entering data in the inventory control system. Processing disposal documentation and posting status record changes to maintain control of equipment dispositions. Processing material receipts and receiving and shipping documentation. Performing periodic inventories of plant property, materials, and equipment. Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
The qualifications listed below are representative of the elements required to perform the job successfully, however in some cases, an equivalent combination of Education, Training, Certifications and Experience may meet the job qualifications.
Education, Training, Certifications:
High school Diploma, or equivalent, required.
Experience, Knowledge, Skill Requirements:
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in maintaining inventory, warehousing, and/or distribution environment.
Communication Skills:
Must have the ability to effectively read, write and communicate in English with employees and customers.
Systems and Software Skills:
Proficiency in with Microsoft Office Suite is required.
Other Qualifications:
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required. Must be able to comply with SFPH's Drug and Alcohol policy and Background screening requirements, which may also include customer specific requirements based on contractual agreement.
