Job Summary We are seeking an Lab Clean-up and Inventory Specialist. This role plays a critical part in reclaiming valuable lab space, reducing clutter, and improving overall lab organization through informed technical judgment. The Lab Clean up and Inventory Specialist is a hands on, technician focused contract role responsible for assessing underutilized lab areas and determining appropriate disposition of parts and materials. About the role - you will: Systematically review unused and underutilized lab spaces to identify stored parts, materials, tools, and equipment. Assess parts and materials to determine keep or discard based on technical relevance, condition, and potential future use. Reduce clutter and reclaim lab space by coordinating removal, consolidation, or disposal of obsolete or unnecessary items. Organize retained parts and materials in a logical, accessible manner to support current and future lab needs. Document findings using simple tools (e.g., spreadsheets, lists, photos) to summarize retained items and disposition decisions. Coordinate with engineering, lab owners, and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) teams to ensure proper handling and compliant disposal practices. Perform work in an active lab environment while minimizing disruption to ongoing operations. Maintain professionalism, safety awareness, and respect for sensitive lab equipment and materials.
About you:
Hands on experience in a technical lab, manufacturing, or engineering environment (technician level background strongly preferred). Strong technical familiarity with parts, materials, and lab equipment, enabling informed decisions about value and applicability. Proven ability to independently assess, organize, and clean up physical workspaces. Comfortable working in physically active roles involving standing, walking, bending, and light to moderate lifting. Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to document work clearly and accurately using basic digital tools. Good judgment, reliability, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Your experience includes:

Pay:
