E-Commerce Inventory & Listing Specialist (Contractor)

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable E-Commerce Inventory & Listing Assistant (Contractor) to support a growing online resale business. This role involves preparing inventory, photographing items, and creating listing drafts for platforms such as eBay and Poshmark. This is a flexible, task-based contractor position best suited for someone who is organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working both independently and with clear guidelines. Work is performed on-site at a small warehouse-style workspace with 24/7 access, allowing contractors to complete tasks on their own schedule. The ability to remain focused in a moderately active environment is important. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and able to provide valid identification and complete required onboarding paperwork. Responsibilities Prepare items for listing (steaming, lint rolling, basic organization) Photograph inventory items using the provided setup (primarily clothing, shoes, and accessories, with potential for additional categories) Measure items accurately and record key details, including basic tracking and documentation of completed work Organize and maintain inventory within the workspace Draft item titles and listing details following structured guidelines Ensure accuracy and consistency across all item information Handle inventory with care and follow all workspace procedures Complete assigned tasks within agreed timelines Must be able to lift and move inventory items, including bins or materials typically weighing up to 20-30 pounds Experience Must have reliable transportation to and from the work location Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes Comfortable working independently without constant supervision Basic computer skills (typing, navigating simple systems) Ability to stay organized while managing multiple items and tasks Prior experience with e-commerce, resale, or inventory work is strongly preferred. Familiarity with eBay or similar platforms is a plus and will help shorten the learning curve. Compensation This is a flexible, task-based contractor role intended for supplemental income, with pay typically ranging from $200-$250 per week . This role generally averages approximately 12-18 hours per week , with earnings comparable to roughly $15-$18 per hour depending on pace and efficiency and based on completed items/tasks rather than hourly work. Work volume may vary depending on inventory availability, and no set hours or weekly earnings are guaranteed. Payment is issued weekly via check for completed and accepted work. This role is expected to last approximately 3-6 months based on current inventory volume, with potential for continued work based on business needs and performance.
