Job Description

We're seeking the right candidate for the position of Central Supply Technician at Brandon Community Care Center . Essential Qualifications:
•Sterilization and Cleaning:
Decontaminate, clean, and sterilize reusable medical equipment and instruments using autoclaves or chemical disinfectants.Inventory Management:
Monitor stock levels of medical supplies (e.g., examination gloves, wound care materials, personal protective equipment) to ensure they are available, reducing emergency ordering.Distribution and Storage:
Organize and deliver supplies to appropriate departments or nursing stations. Maintain a clean, organized storage area.Documentation:
Maintain detailed records of sterilization cycles, inventory logs, and equipment checks to comply with safety regulations.Equipment Inspection:
Check equipment and instruments for damages to ensure proper functioning and safety.Vendor Coordination:
Interact with vendors to receive new stock and ensure correct inventory levels.The Ideal Candidate:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Experience in medical inventory or sterile processing is often preferred. Knowledge of medical equipment and sanitation procedures. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Other Qualifications Knowledge of infection control procedures. Ability to read and interpret documents like safety rules and procedure manuals. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds. Must be able to bend, stretch and reach for extended periods of time. What We Bring to theTable:
