Inventory Lead Herbal Alchemy Dispensary |
Hernando, MS Job Summary:
Herbal Alchemy is currently seeking a detail-oriented, Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting daily dispensary operations. This role serves as the primary owner of inventory reconciliation, ensuring physical inventory, METRC, and Treez remain aligned at all times while maintaining audit-ready documentation and compliance with Mississippi cannabis regulations. In addition to inventory responsibilities, the Inventory Lead provides support on the sales floor during peak business hours and staffing needs to help deliver an exceptional patient experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
Inventory Management & Compliance Maintain accurate inventory through daily and weekly cycle counts, as well as scheduled full physical inventories. Perform daily reconciliation between physical inventory, METRC, and Treez to ensure complete inventory accuracy. Manage METRC activities, including package adjustments, tag management, package creation and closure, and inventory status updates. Reconcile Treez inventory by resolving negative inventory, SKU discrepancies, and end-of-day variances. Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, document findings, and escalate significant variances when necessary. Receive and verify inbound transfers by confirming product quantities, package tags, weights, and manifests before products enter secured inventory. Maintain organized vault storage and ensure all inventory is properly secured and accounted for. Coordinate the documentation and disposal of expired, damaged, or destroyed inventory in accordance with Mississippi Department of Health (MSDH) and Department of Revenue (DOR) regulations. Maintain accurate records and ensure the dispensary remains audit-ready and inspection-ready at all times. Monitor inventory levels and communicate low-stock concerns or replenishment needs to management. Assist with process improvements that strengthen inventory accuracy and operational efficiency. Sales Floor Support Assist patients with product selection while delivering exceptional customer service. Process compliant patient transactions accurately through Treez. Maintain thorough knowledge of products, promotions, and dispensary policies. Support the dispensary team during high-volume periods and coverage needs while maintaining compliance standards.
Qualifications:
Previous inventory management or inventory control experience required; retail inventory experience preferred. Experience with METRC and Treez, non-negotiable . Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Comfortable working with spreadsheets, reports, and inventory data. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to ~50 pounds. Must be obtain a Mississippi Medical Cannabis Work Permit. What We're Looking For...
