Job Description

A premier furniture manufacturer in High Point, NC is actively searching for an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to manage and reconcile our raw materials-specifically foam, fabric, and leather. If you are a detail-oriented professional who loves keeping warehouse operations running like clockwork? If you know your way around cycle counts, material auditing, and inventory tracking, we want you on our team!
salary:
$17 - $18 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 6 AM - 4:30
PMeducation:
High SchoolResponsibilities Inventory Auditing & Cycle Counts:
Perform routine inventory cycle counts and physical audits. Maintain a highly accurate live inventory of foam, fabric, and leather.
Discrepancy Reporting:
Proactively identify, investigate, and report physical inventory discrepancies (including shortages, overages, incorrect parts, or damaged materials) against receiving paperwork.
Receiving & Quality Control:
Unload, inspect, and verify incoming vendor shipments and Customer Ordered Materials (C.O.M.). Ensure accurate counts, tag materials with critical data (job numbers, yardage, part codes, dates), and assign them to correct bin locations in a timely manner.
Kitting & Production Support:
Physically pull, kit, and stage foam, fabric, and leather for upcoming production weeks and last-minute slot-ins. Ensure all kits are complete and free of defects.
Post-Production Reconciliation:
Measure and roll out excess fabric/leather after job completion, calculate accurate remaining yardage, and update inventory logs accordingly.
Documentation & Communication:
Turn in precise packing lists, bin locations, and customer service paperwork. Communicate inventory shortages or delays that could impact production timelines to management and customer service.
Warehouse Organization & Safety:
Maintain a clean, organized, and accessible inventory area. Adhere to safety standards and immediately report any hazards.
