CS Material Logistics Inventory Specialist#26-05319 $32 per hour Raleigh-Durham, NC Remote Job Description
At-a-Glance:
Are you ready to build your career by joining a multi-national medtech company? If so, our client is hiring a CS Material Logistics Inventory Specialist.
Position Type:
Contract Remote after initial onboarding; must reside in the Raleigh-Durham area for in-person orientation and equipment pickup.
Required:
Associate's Degree; BS in Supply Chain Logistics is preferred.
Technical Skills:
SAP, Microsoft Office. 5-8 years of successful experience in area of responsibility and successful demonstration of key responsibilities and knowledge as presented above. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Decision making abilities. Problem-solving (inventory issues, workflow challenges). Detail-oriented (to meet standards for accounting processes audits). Self-motivated and productive in remote environment. Flexibility/adaptability (workflow changes daily).
Preferred Experience:
Material logistics background (ideal: 5-8 years, but 1-2 years considered). SAP familiarity. Excel skills (basic lookups).
Nice-to-Have:
Strong organizational skills and ability to handle varied tasks daily.
Responsibilities:
Managing consignment, trunk stock and tool inventory for CX Field organization. Assist the Field with spare part and tool & test inventories and provide reporting and analysis as it pertains to inventory management. Preparing and performing physical inventory activities annually as per accounting guidelines. Key interactions would be with Customer Administration, Memphis Returns, Regional Service Managers, Customer Service Engineers, CSML, 3rd party Logistics provider (DHL), Finance, calibration provider (SIMCO), the Customer Care Center, and the Tool Center staff. Specific responsibilities included in inventory management activities: Provides inventory support services over the phone and online. Support Customer Administration with the following: Resolution of service report errors. Reversals for incorrect billings. Serial number error escalations as related to the installed base. Support Memphis Returns with the following: Resolve return processing errors/issues. Proactively identify areas of improvement with end goal of reduced errors. Research and follow-up with CSML for missing parts in Memphis.
Physical Inventory:
Coordinate and schedule with Field Management. Execute physical inventory activities with Field in a timely manner. Reconciliation of inventory between SAP, CSE, and Calibration with minimal variance. Work closely with and follow-up with CSEs and Management for escalations and material recounts. Follow-up with any transactions that were in error for CSE during physical inventory count. Error handling as it relates to inventory management. PO posting errors. Tool order failures.
