Job Summary:
The Inventory & Logistics Specialist manages the lifecycle of a company's physical goods. They oversee inventory tracking, reconcile stock discrepancies, and coordinate the transportation of supplies. Their core goal is to minimize costs, prevent stockouts, and ensure deliveries arrive accurately and on time using warehouse management software. This is a Full-Time/Part-Time/Internship (established in offer letter), in-office position offering competitive salary, benefits, and growth opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Inventory Control:
Monitor stock levels daily, conduct cycle counts, and investigate discrepancies.
Shipping & Receiving:
Unpack incoming shipments, verify goods against purchase orders, and pack outgoing orders for dispatch.
Transportation Coordination:
Schedule inbound and outbound freight, track shipments with carriers, and resolve delivery delays.
Vendor & Order Management:
Process client orders, generate shipping documents, and communicate with suppliers to maintain supply chain efficiency.
Compliance:
Ensure the proper handling and storage of goods, especially hazardous materials, adhering to local and international transportation regulations.
Other Duties:
Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned to support team collaboration and help drive the organization's mission, vision, and values.
Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and Microsoft Excel.
Logistics Acumen:
Strong understanding of supply chain procedures, shipping methods, and inventory forecasting.
Organization & Detail:
Ability to maintain accurate data in fast-paced, physically demanding warehouse or distribution environments.
Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills to coordinate with suppliers and warehouse staff. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow precise instructions and quality standards.
Physical Requirements:
The SMT Operator is expected to perform the following physical requirements daily for up to 8 to 10 hours:
Stamina:
Standing, walking, or sitting for prolonged periods (often 8+ hours).
Dexterity:
Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for grasping, manipulating, and counting stock.
Communication:
Clear speaking and active listening abilities are essential for productivity, face to face communication, and safety.
Sensory:
Clear vision (including depth perception and close-up reading for labels/barcodes) and the ability to hear warning signals in busy warehouse environments.
Mobility:
Bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching overhead, climbing, and balancing.
Lifting:
Regularly lifting, carrying, and moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds; repetitively lifting lighter items.
Environmental Factors:
Ability to work in environments with variable noise levels and extreme temperatures
