Job Description:
Under general supervision of Warehouse Supervisor and independently performs a variety of Administrative and trade work in ordering receiving storing inventorying issuing and shipping material supplies tools equipment and parts in stockroom warehouse or yard. Ensures for quantity and quality of items received against invoice freight bills and specifications. Reviews stock levels on a periodic basic. Receive unloads unpacks inspect and stores materials and supplies. Receive and issue materials received from vendors and inputs data in Naviline system. Enter requisitions track stock and emergency materials issued. Issues items from stock in accordance with prescribed procedures; loads and delivers within a timely manner to City departments. Assembles and fills orders for supplies and equipment by requisitions. Sorts and places materials or items on racks shelves or in bins according to predetermine sequence such as size type style color or produce code. Verifies materials received against requisitions shipping notices or invoices to determine irregularities. File requisitions shipping notices or invoices to request for materials and tools. Maintains file for purchase documents. Places items on pallets or shelves weighs and counts items for distribution and inspects for defects and rejects items not meeting the prescribed standards and specifications. Maintains and updates computerized records. Performs warehouse inventory on a periodic schedule reconciles stock and inventory records through Naviline; updates and maintains inventory records. Attached identification information on tools and equipment brought into the warehouse for storage. Maintains the warehouse and grounds in a neat and orderly manner. Will perform related tasks as assigned. Operate basic office equipment such as fax machine adding machine personal computer and copier machine.
Additional Information:
STARTING HOURLY PAY
$15.97 p/h
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Two (2) years of experience in warehouse responsibilities. Valid driver's license (state of residence) must meet city's insurability requirements.
Other Conditions:
Must pass a background check. Must be available for on-call duty after the regular business hours of 8am - 5pm and weekend duty.
