Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our team and drive excellence in inventory management and supply chain operations. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing inventory accuracy, optimizing stock levels, and ensuring seamless coordination across warehouse distribution, procurement, and logistics functions. Your expertise will help streamline processes, reduce costs, and enhance overall operational efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where data-driven decision-making and strategic sourcing are key to success. Responsibilities Manage inventory levels by monitoring stock movements, conducting regular audits, and utilizing warehouse management systems (WMS) to ensure accuracy. Analyze inventory data using tools such as MarKov to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for process improvement. Collaborate with procurement teams to optimize sourcing strategies, negotiate supplier contracts, and manage supplier relationships for cost-effective purchasing. Conduct root cause analysis on inventory variances and develop corrective action plans to prevent recurrence. Support demand planning and forecasting Coordinate with logistics providers and 3PL partners to ensure timely shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and materials handling. Utilize ERP systems like AS400 and other supply chain analytics tools to streamline stock replenishment processes and improve inventory turnover rates. Skills Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles including warehouse distribution, procurement, and materials management. Proficiency in warehouse management systems Experience with demand planning, inventory control, category management, and stock analysis techniques. Ability to perform data mining, financial analysis, and root cause analysis to identify inefficiencies or issues within the supply chain. Familiarity with logistics operations including shipping & receiving, materials handling (heavy lifting), production planning, and e-commerce fulfillment. Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets for process improvement initiatives using tools like Nielsen reports or supply chain analytics platforms.
