Job Description

Position Summary:
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring inventory integrity throughout the warehouse and manufacturing environment. This role oversees cycle counting activities, investigates and resolves inventory discrepancies, manages lot and location accuracy, and supports operational efficiency through proper inventory control practices. In addition to inventory responsibilities, this position supports general warehouse operations including material movement, picking, receiving support, data entry, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, organized, and capable of working collaboratively across departments.
Primary Responsibilities:
Inventory Control & Accuracy Maintain accurate inventory counts within the ERP system Plan, coordinate and perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts Plan and coordinate scheduled physical inventory counts Investigate, identify, and resolve inventory discrepancies Correct inventory quantities, lot numbers, locations, and transaction errors Monitor inventory movements to ensure accurate tracking of materials and finished goods Reconcile inventory variances and communicate findings to management Assist with root cause analysis related to inventory inaccuracies Ensure inventory transactions are completed accurately and in a timely manner Maintain organization and proper labeling of inventory locations Warehouse Operations Support Pick, stage, and move materials as required Support shipping, receiving, and warehouse activities Perform material handling using pallet jacks, forklifts, or other warehouse equipment as authorized Complete data entry and documentation accurately Assist with replenishment and stock rotation activities Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse areas Follow all safety procedures and company policies Support other warehouse duties and special projects as assigned
Primary Competencies:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to analyze and resolve inventory discrepancies Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to prioritize tasks and stay on schedule Basic computer and data entry proficiency Effective communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred Previous inventory control, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred Experience with cycle counting and inventory reconciliation preferred Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP systems is a plus Basic math and computer skills required Ability to read and interpret inventory documentation and labels

Fast-paced manufacturing environment. Requires standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods. May involve exposure to noise and varying temperatures. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.

Salary Range:
$20/hour - $24/hour Sign-on Bonus!
