Job Description

Are you a detail-oriented professional who knows their way around a machine shop? We are looking for a Tool Room Inventory Specialist to serve as the backbone of our machining operations.

In this role, you won t just be counting parts; you ll be the gatekeeper of precision. You ll ensure our machinists have exactly what they need-from carbide inserts to custom jigs-to keep our spindles turning and our production on schedule.
Key Responsibilities Inventory Management:
Track, organize, and manage a vast inventory of cutting tools, holders, abrasives, and precision measuring instruments.
Technical Support:
Identify and kit tooling for specific jobs based on blueprints or setup sheets.
Procurement:
Monitor stock levels and initiate purchase orders for consumables to ensure zero downtime.
Tool Maintenance:
Inspect returning tools for wear or damage; coordinate sharpening services or replacements as needed.
Database Accuracy:
Maintain our inventory management system (ERP/MRP) with real-time data entry.
Organization:
Maintain a 5S standard within the tool room, ensuring every item has a labeled home.
Qualifications & Skills Machining Knowledge:
You must know the difference between a ball nose end mill and a reamer. Familiarity with brands like Sandvik, Kennametal, or Iscar is a major plus.
Technical Literacy:
Ability to read shop prints and understand basic machining tolerances.
Software Proficiency:
Experience with inventory software, Tool Crib management systems, or Microsoft Excel. Attention to
Detail:
You re the type of person who notices when a .005" shim is missing from its drawer.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain active on the shop floor throughout the shift.
salary:
$17.5 - $18 per hourshift: Thirdwork hours: 10:30 PM - 7
