Job Description

The Science Team at Pride Health is currently supporting a client in the Biotechnology industry that is looking to hire Senior Inventory Specialist in Tarrytown, NY.
Position Summary:
We are seeking highly motivated Senior Inventory Specialist to provide critical laboratory support as part of a dynamic lab services team. The Glass Wash team delivers a centralized service responsible for the collection, processing, inspection, and return of laboratory glassware to customer locations. All glassware is visually inspected to ensure cleanliness and usability prior to redistribution.

Pay range: $20•$28/hour on W2 as per your experience
Contract Length:
12 Months with the possibility of extension
Key Responsibilities:
Support the development, revision, and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to glassware processing and laboratory support activities. Mentor and train new team members on glassware processing procedures, safety requirements, and equipment operation. Partners with the team lead to identify and implement continuous process improvement initiatives. Collect, transport, and deliver laboratory glassware and plasticware in accordance with established handling and contamination control procedures. Follow approved procedures for the handling and transport of contaminated and non-contaminated laboratory materials. Operate autoclaves for decontamination and sanitization activities. Operate glassware washers, dry heat sterilizers, and ultrasonic baths. Prepare glassware, caps, and related items for sanitization using defined procedural steps. Inspect glassware for cleanliness, residue, and structural defects prior to release. Perform routine inspections and operational checks on glass wash and autoclave equipment. Complete monthly de-scaling and routine preventive maintenance activities. Maintain temperature chart recorders, equipment logs, and associated documentation using Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Monitor glassware inventory levels and notify the Glassware Lead of shortages or deficiencies. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and housekeeping standards within glassware processing areas. Adhere to all safety procedures and proactively identify and escalate safety or operational concerns. Complete all required training in a timely manner and maintain compliance with health, safety, environmental, security, and operational requirements. Collaborate with other laboratory support teams to ensure seamless service delivery. Crosstrain and provide backup support for other laboratory support functions as needed. Demonstrate appropriate use of laboratory equipment and software following training. Critical Skills Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and consistently. Strong attention to detail and technical problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to understand and respond to client needs. Ability to work independently and effectively within a team environment. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline; OR Associate's degree in a scientific discipline with 2 or more years of relevant laboratory or operational experience; OR High School diploma or equivalent with 5 or more years of experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, or related operational environment. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
