Summary:
Participates in the inventory activities of Surgical Services Departments (OR, Endo, PAT, SDS, PACU) to ensure timely and accurate ordering and processing of receipts of supplies, delivery of supplies and equipment, and accurate keying into requisitioning system resulting expenses for the using departments. Plans, organizes, and identifies supplies for Surgical Services to best serve customers. Evaluates operation efficiencies to effect savings. Initiates and promotes cost reduction plans.
Minimum Qualifications:
Formal Education Required:
Associate's degree in business, healthcare, or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience which has provided skills in inventory management
Experience and Training Required:
One (1) Year related supply distribution, receiving experience preferred. One (1) year inventory management experience including inventory software experience preferred

Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational and interpersonal skills Ability to work well within a team environment by accepting and offering honest and constructive feedback, supporting team goals and encouraging fellow team members Skills to use a computer based inventory system and Microsoft Office Suite Ability to effectively interact with patients/customers with the understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity
